We recently had the opportunity to meet and talk to Adrain Pastor, Anchor and Reporter form NBC5 News about how Juana’s Garden got started. We talked about how the Cannabis Generation Equity Fund at Zenbarn Farm in Waterbury helped establish Juana’s Garden, which is the newest recreational cannabis retail shop in Montpelier. As Vermont approaches two years of legal recreational cannabis, many shops have opened, including ours. Despite the competitive landscape, the success of Juana’s Garden is deeply rooted in the support and collaboration of fellow entrepreneurs. In this conversation, we reflect on our journey and express our heartfelt appreciation for realizing a dream that once seemed unattainable, especially given my upbringing in Colombia, where challenges like drug cartels and violence were prevalent.
With the invaluable backing of the Cannabis Generation Equity Fund and the guidance from mentors at Zenbarn Farm, we transformed our aspirations into a tangible reality. Marlena Tucker-Fishman, co-owner of Zenbarn Farms, also highlighted their initiative to develop a fellowship program that caters to the unique needs of aspiring business owners, offering vital resources. Since its launch in 2020, Zenbarn Farms has been dedicated to empowering individuals in the cannabis industry, driven by the conviction that knowledge should be shared.
At Juana’s Garden, Cannabis Boutique, we are also inspired to share the insights we’ve gained, emphasizing the importance of believing in our product and fostering education within the community. Although our dispensary has just opened, we aspire to one day pass on our knowledge, contributing to the growth of the cannabis industry throughout Vermont.
